BIO
Bertram Burkert studied classical and jazz guitar in both his Bachelor and Master degrees with, among others, Michael Wollny, Frank Möbus, Richie Beirach, and Thomas Müller-Pering. During this time, he was a scholarship holder of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation and received several national and international awards.
Since then, Bertram Burkert has been equally at home in jazz, classical, and pop music.
He is a member of the baroque ensemble “Continuum”, part of the Hania Rani Ensemble, and will tour Europe with her in 2025, and he plays with German pop artists such as Clueso and Maeckes. In 2022, he composed and produced the theater music for “Undine geht” at the Schaubühne Berlin. He has released two solo albums, three albums with the jazz quartet Stax, and recently the debut album of his band Conic Rose »Heller Tag«. Since then, Conic Rose has been invited to perform at various festivals (Sydney Festival in Australia, Headliner Viersen Jazz Festival, Jazzahead Bremen).
Through constant new collaborations and technical experiments — currently programming his own effects in Max MSP — he strives to stay fresh for his next musical journeys.
